The Watchers Tweet Tweet Solar filament eruption on August 31 generated at least two potentially Earth directed CME clouds. Earth was hit by first CME shock, observed in the solar wind around 11:20 UTC. The impact induced significant ground currents in northern Scandinavia and produced moderate geomagnetic storming levels,observed at high latitudes.
